Florence Team

Bridgette Wilson, DVM

Veterinarian and Founder

Dr. Wilson has been practicing Veterinary Medicine since 2001, after graduating from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.  She completed her bachelor’s degree at Thomas More College and attended St. Henry High School.

Outside of work, Dr. Wilson loves spending time with her family, enjoying the outdoors, reading and traveling.

Dr. Wilson is a native of Florence and lives with her husband, Andy, their three children: Mitchell, Cameron, and Daphne, as well as their dogs Bella and Roxie and cats Dexter and Penny.

Tracey Wood, DVM

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Wood has been practicing Veterinary Medicine since 1994, after graduating from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Kentucky and attended Notre Dame Academy for high school.

Dr. Wood is from the Florence area but currently lives in Covington with her husband, Joe. Together they have 6 grown children and reside with their two dogs: Jagger and Rikki, and cat Jack.

Jamie C

Practice Coordinator

Jamie has been with Pet Wellness Group since 2007 and is one of our most versatile and experienced employees!  She started with us as a veterinary technician, and in early 2019 expanded her role and works as one of our practice coordinators several days each week.  Jamie is a very positive person and the favorite part of her job is constantly meeting new people and their amazing pets.  Jamie’s positive approach helps create a calming atmosphere on many pets and our customers.   

Out of the office she loves hanging out with her family, hiking, traveling and watching musicals (especially when her daughters are in them!)  You may also see Jamie riding ATV’s with her husband at nearby off-road parks or taking trips in their camper. 

You’ll see her smiling face in our Florence office most days! 

Jamie has four cats: Pumpkin, Sammy, Pinky & Sabrina.

Maria A

Practice Coordinator

Maria started with Pet Wellness Group as a veterinary technician in 2004 and is one of our longest-tenured employees.  Her favorite thing about her job is the number of friendships she has made over the years and the many furry friends she has helped to take care of and love!  She also has a special place in her heart for senior pets, she absolutely loves taking care of them.  She transitioned her role from technician to our first full-time practice coordinator in 2015.  Maria is perfectly suited for this role; she is very upbeat, has tremendous knowledge of the industry and our clients, and she never has a bad day!   

Outside of work, she loves relaxing with her family, traveling and spending time outdoors.  She also enjoys yoga and you may also see Maria driving around town in her Jeep with the top down! 

Maria has two cats – Socrates and Sheldon and one dog named Rowdy.

Veterinary Technicians (Florence Team)

Kelsey C

Technician

Kelsey has been with Pet Wellness Group since 2016 but has been in the veterinary field since 2012. Kelsey’s favorite part of her job is being with our patients through surgery and recovery.

Kelsey brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team.  She also is a master organizer and helps keep our Florence office running like a fine-tuned machine!

In addition to keeping up with her 2 dogs, Ace and Baron, Kelsey has a passion for the outdoors.

Katelyn W

Technician

Katelyn joined Pet Wellness Group in 2016 and brings over 5 years of experience in the field.  Since joining us, Katelyn has been extremely busy juggling work, family and school! She’s graduating with a degree in Veterinary Technology in fall 2019. 

Katelyn has a great sense of humor always making us laugh with movie and TV references that are way beyond her years.

Outside of work her four kids and 2 fur babies (cat named Magic & dog named Alley) keep her busy!

Jennifer K

Technician

Jennifer joined Pet Wellness Group in 2018 and brings over 21 years of experience in the veterinary field with her. Jennifer graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2003 with a degree in Veterinary Science. Jennifer loves working in this field, it is truly a passion for her.

Jennifer has 3 pets: 2 dogs and 1 cat (all rescues). Chopper is a German Shepherd who never met a person she didn’t like. Eddie is a mixed breed (schnauzer, min pin, & pug mix) who is a little reserved and very loyal. Fudge the cat was a feral cat that started his life in a barn, but now lives an indoor life of luxury!

Amanda B

Technician

Amanda started with Pet Wellness Group in February 2019 but brings over 11 years of experience in the field with her.  Amanda’s favorite part of her job is developing relationships with pets and their humans.  She also has a special interest in preventative care and enjoys working on emergency cases. 

Along with keeping up with her 3 active kids, Amanda has a very diverse pet family as well.  She’s Mom to 6 dogs, 2 cats and a small flock of backyard chickens! 

Scarlett R

Technician

Scarlett started with Pet Wellness Group in October 2011. She loves working with all animals but has a special place in her heart for caring for animals with special needs. 

Scarlett wins the award at our clinic for the most animals. She currently lives with her two dogs Beans and Dooley, and her six cats: Sweet Dee, Coal, Liam, Ryan, Artemis, and Maureen, and her snake Mac.

Jennifer Bowen, DVM

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Jennifer Bowen has been practicing Veterinary Medicine since 1998, after graduating from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. She split her undergraduate studies between Florida State University and Auburn University.

Dr. Bowen is originally from Brandon, FL but currently lives in Northern Ky with her husband, Scott, who is also a veterinarian. She has two children, RJ and Alyson and a cat named Zena.

Rebekah L

Technician

Rebekah has been with Pet Wellness Group since 2016, but has been in the veterinary industry since 2012.  Rebekah graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2012 and is a registered veterinary technician.  Rebekah loves assisting with surgery and helping animals feel relaxed and at home in the clinic.

Rebekah is an excellent teacher!  She’s very patient and knowledgeable.  She is one of our primary training coordinators for new team members.

Rebekah has two rescue dogs, Shadow and Kyle as well as three rescue kitties Spot, Binx and Storm.

Kayley W

Technician

Kayley started with Pet Wellness Group in 2017 and has 3 years of total experience in the field.  Kayley’s favorite part of her job is the relationships she gets to create with our clients and their fur babies!  She likes working with animals of all ages and species but has a special interest in surgery and dental procedures. 

Kayley is a great teammate and asset to Pet Wellness Group!

Kayley has a dog, Daisey and a cat named Fluffers.

Tessa L

Technician

Tessa started with Pet Wellness Group in May 2019 as a veterinary technician.  She loves meeting all the different breeds of animals that we see and learning new things.  She also enjoys snuggling with all the little puppies and kittens!  In addition to her day job, Tessa has also started her course of study to become a registered technician. 

Tessa chose this field because she’s always been surrounded by animals, from cats and dogs to wildlife.  She is a licensed wildlife rehabilitator and was in that field for 5 years prior to coming to us.    

Tessa enjoys the outdoors, spending time rock climbing, rappelling, camping, hiking and caving as well as spending time with her family.  She has two rescue pets, a dog named Titan and a cat named Tigger.
